How do you choose an agent for, most likely, your most valuable asset?

An agent should make suggestions to you regarding preparing your home for showing. Home staging has become popular and you need to compete with other homes that are professionally staged. Pricing your home is both a skill and an art, and there is much to be discussed between you and your agent to determine your asking price. Does your agent treat real estate as a full time business or as a part time hobby? What is their marketing plan for your home? Do they listen to you and ask questions? Your needs, not theirs, should come first. Does your agent answer their phone and are they readily available to answer your questions and concerns? Do you feel that they are trustworthy? Are they salaried, or do they receive a commission? Will a salaried agent care about what price is negotiated for your home? Ask friends for referrals to a good agent, and meet them in person. This person is going to be negotiating for you. They're also assuming a certain amount of liability for you. Experience is crucial. #HelpMeRhonda #RedlandsRealEstate #Redlands Realtors #HomeStaging
